asked the Minister of Education how many emergency trained teachers are now pursuing the two years' additional training required by the Act; what provision is made for that training; where and by whom it is conducted; what curriculum is specified; what supervision of their training is exercised; and what tests are applied at the end of the training to gauge the progress made.

Roughly 6,000 teacher, are now taking the courses of part-time study, required to be followed by those who have been trained in emergency colleges during their first two years of service. The answers to the remaining parts of the Question are contained in Appendix 3 of Circular 106, of which I have already sent the hon. Member copy.
