HC Deb 04 December 1947 vol 445 c95W
78. Mr. Edward Evans

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the shortage of men's rubber Wellington boots in Beccles and district; and, in view of the importance of an adequate supply to the agricultural community, if he will arrange for increased supplies.

Mr. Belcher

Available supplies of men's Wellington boots should be sufficient to meet the essential needs of agricultural workers, and I have taken special steps to ensure suitable distribution. If my hon. Friend will give me further details of the difficulties in the Beccles district, I will look into them.
