HC Deb 04 December 1947 vol 445 c104W
97. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is aware that in the village of Skares, Ayrshire, inhabited by miners, the National Coal Board refuses to sell coal to the village hall at the same price as it is sold to the miners, contrary to the custom prevailing before the mines were taken over; and what steps he proposes to take.

Mr. Gaitskell

This is a matter for the National Coal Board and I have accordingly asked the Board to write to my hon. Friend about it.
