§ Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is aware that owing to congestion of work in the office of the regional fuel controller, certain members of local authorities in Sussex have not yet received supplementary petrol coupons for the current month and are therefore immobilised; and whether he will save time by issuing coupons to the clerks of such authorities direct in bulk for distribution by them to the members.
§ Mr. GaitskellAt the request of the clerk to the West Sussex County Council, coupons were issued to him in bulk for the use of members to prevent this difficulty arising. I cannot, however, agree to the adoption of this procedure as a general rule.
