asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what instructions have been given to the Bank of Eng-as to the flexibility allowed to them in the interpretation of the Anglo-Belgian Financial Agreement.

No specific instructions have been given to the Bank of England en this point.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what stipulations have been made by the Bank of England, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, to implement Article 9 of the Anglo-Belgian Financial Agreement.

There has been no occasion to make any stipulations as these matters are settled by amicable agreement between the two Central Banks.
