§ 79. Mr. T. Reidasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will oppose in the case of the Colony of Seychelles the proposal to give a majority to unofficials in the Legislative and Executive Councils.
Mr. Creech JonesIn Seychelles it would be premature to consider the introduction of unofficial majorities until experience has been gained of the working of the new constitutional arrangements, which are to be introduced in the near future. These arrangements will include the introduction of the elective principle in the Seychelles Legislature for the first time.
