§ 80. Sir P. Macdonaldasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make any statement on the results of the African Governors' Conference recently concluded in London.
Mr. Creech JonesI am sending the hon. Member a copy of the communiqué which was issued at the end of the Conference. This indicates the subjects which were discussed and I have nothing to add to it. I should like, however, to say that the Conference provided a most welcome opportunity for an exchange of views on a wide range of subjects between the Governors, myself and my officials and that the discussions which took place were of the greatest value to us.
