(2) whether he will inform the House of the circumstances in which Mr. John A. Harrington, of Caroline Buildings, Bath, was refused permission to change his occupation.

§ 87. Mr. Hoggasked the Minister of Labour whether he exercises his powers of direction in the case of citizens of Eire; whether Mr. John A. Harrington, of Caroline Buildings, Bath, comes within this category; and whether he has informed the High Commissioner for Eire of his action in directing him.
§ Mr. IsaacsI reserve the right in certain circumstances to direct citizens of Eire resident in this country, of whom Mr. Harrington is one, in just the same way as other nationals resident here. The general arrangements for this purpose in relation to Eire citizens were agreed with the High Commissioner for Eire.
