61. Mr. Baker Whiteasked the Minister of Food on what grounds Mr. Sidney B. Turnpenny, of Deepdene, 14 Park Avenue, Dover, was refused permission to change his milkman seeing that the firm from whom he received his milk, Messrs. Fasley Woodhams and Co., have been purchased by a co-operative society.
§ Mr. StracheyThe Dover Co-operative Society have acquired a financial interest in Farley Woodhams and Co. Ltd., but the Company has not been wound up. There has been no change in trading methods, the customers of the company have not become members of the cooperative society and no dividend is paid on purchases. I do not think these circumstances justify a change of retailers.
