§ 15. Mr. Kingasked the Minister of Labour if he will arrange for German prisoners of war who have been released, and who wish to remain permanently in this country in order to add to the labour force, to be allowed a brief visit to their homes before beginning work.
§ Mr. IsaacsThe only German ex-prisoners of war employed in a civilian status in this country are those who have volunteered to remain for a limited period 241W in employment in agriculture after they become due for repatriation. There are no arrangements for them to remain permanently in this country and the question of allowing them to go home and return for permanent employment does not therefore arise.
