HC Deb 08 August 1947 vol 441 cc209-10W
Mr. Law

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation if he is aware of the unpunctuality of the B.E.A.C. service operating between London and Brussels; and if he will take steps to remedy this state of affairs.

Mr. Lindgren

I understand that there has been a certain amount of unpunctuality on the London-Brussels service due mainly to delays in traffic handling. I do not consider that this irregularity has been excessive; indeed I am informed that the delay which rarely exceeds 15 minutes, compares favourably with the record of other airlines. Steps to improve the regularity of services are constantly under review by British European Airways Corporation with whom the responsibility for matters of this nature rests.
