§ Mr. Jannerasked the Postmaster-General if he will amend the regulation, that if a parcel is not delivered after three efforts by the postman, the addressee is informed that it will be treated as un-deliverable if instructions as to direction 170W are not given to the Post Office within three days, in view of the fact that many persons may be away from home or be out during delivery hours owing to their employment.
§ Mr. Wilfred PalingIn practice satisfactory alternative arrangements, including delivery at a neighbour's house, are provided for addressees who are temporarily absent from their homes. Persons who are to be away from home for a period can arrange for their correspondence and parcels to be redirected by the Post Office.
