asked the Minister of Food what quantity of Turkish eggs has been imported into the United Kingdom and what percentage of these eggs was found to be unfit for human consumption on distribution in this country.

360,000 dozen shell eggs were imported from Turkey in June. This was an experimental shipment and, on test before distribution, some 6 per cent. were found to be unfit for human consumption.
