HC Deb 04 August 1947 vol 441 c111W
32. Mr. Sharp

asked the Minister of Works what action he is taking, or proposes taking, to give full publicity to the mechanical aids and scientific methods which may be used to economise labour in the house-building industry and accelerate the erection of houses.

Mr. Key

The normal channel of publicity for these items is through the technical Press. In addition, my Department organises, or assists in organising, exhibitions of mechanical aids intended to economise labour in building. These mechanical aids are also brought to the notice of one of my Advisory Committees on which both sides of the industry are represented, so that they may draw the special attention of their members to them in suitable cases.
