HC Deb 01 August 1947 vol 441 c94W
Mr. Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will consider arranging for the despatch of a Parliamentary delegation to South America during the summer recess.

Mr. Mayhew

Yes. Arrangements are already being made for a delegation consisting of the hon. Members for East Fulham (Mr. M. Stewart), leader of the delegation, Mossley (Mr. Woods), Stone (Mr. H. Fraser), and Wednesbury (Mr. S. N. Evans) to leave on 6th August for a visit to certain countries of South America. I am sure the House would wish me to express, on their behalf, gratitude and appreciation to the South American Governments and Congresses who will entertain the delegation.
