§ 83. Sir I. Fraserasked the Postmaster-General if he is satisfied that the remuneration of village postmasters and postmistresses is adequate, having regard to the present cost of living and to the additional duties which they have to undertake as a result of recent legislation and administrative action.
§ Mr. Wilfred PalingThe basis of remuneration of sub-postmasters and sub-postmistresses has recently been revised in agreement with the National Federation of Sub Postmasters, and I am satisfied that the settlement reached should provide equitable payment for the services rendered.
