Member to paragraph 10 of Command 6715 which states in the case of other ranks that the comparison between Service rates and civilian rates was made on the basis of Income Tax at 1946 rates, that is to say, a standard rate of 9s. Service personnel share with civilians in the concessions recently announced by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
