§ Mr. TomlinsonIn the Emergency Framing Scheme the length of the college course is one year. On successful completion of this course the candidate is approved as a qualified teacher, subject to a two-year probation period. My Department received returns from the colleges showing the employment taken up by their students, and so far, has seen no sign of teachers trained under the scheme failing to carry out their undertaking to follow the teaching profession
