§ Sir S. CrippsThe recent purchases of Soviet cotton were made at prices nominally somewhat lower than American, but the two growths are not fully comparable. The terms of contract for United States cotton are also in some respects more favourable. I do not consider it would be in the public interest to disclose the prices paid or the quantity bought.
