asked the Minister of Health the dates of the discovery of the first two cases of smallpox at Grimsby and the dates of the development of the remainder of the cases; whether any inmates of the lodging house in which the cases occurred were vaccinated upon the discovery of the first cases; on what dates they were vaccinated; on what dates those who developed smallpox sickened with that disease; whether the two members of the sanitary staff who investigated the outbreak were vaccinated before they were sent to make the investigation; and how long before they developed smallpox.

The first two cases were found on 17th February, and of the other cases two developed on 25th February, three each on 27th February, 28th February and 1st March, and one each on 2nd and 3rd March. The inmates of the lodging house were vaccinated, mostly on 18th and 19th February; those who developed smallpox sickened between 25th February and 3rd March. The two
