§ Sir R. Rossasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether a retired naval officer of the Regular service employed in an unestablished post in a civilian Government Department receives the normal pay of his post, or whether a reduction is made in respect of his naval pension.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallA Question of this kind would have to be considered under the general rule that pensions granted for commissioned service in the Forces are to be taken into account in fixing pay in the Civil Service employment if that employment is directly attributable to special 53W experience or qualifications obtained in the Forces. Where the civilian employment is attributable in this way, a small deduction is made from the amount of civilian pay.
