§ Mr. BurkeThe Post Office revenue paid into the Exchequer in the year ended 31st March, 1947, was £131 million, and the issues from the Exchequer to meet Post Office expenditure were £133,820,000. The commercial results will not be known for some months, but it is expected that, including the value of services rendered or received without payment, revenue will be approximately £171 million and expenditure approximately £146 million.
