asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if the amount spent by his Department in Scotland can, in future, be separated in the annual Estimates.

It would be impracticable to separate the estimated expenditure in Scotland in the case of various Subheads of the Post Office Vote. Where it would be possible, a considerable expenditure of time and trouble would be involved and I do not feel that this would be justified.
