HC Deb 03 April 1947 vol 435 c367W
Viscount Corvedale

asked the Minister of Works why electrical accessories are available in chain stores and yet cannot he supplied for Scottish housing schemes.

Mr. Key

Many of the accessories on sale in retail shops are below the standards approved for the housing programme. Arrangements have been made for the supply of electrical accessories for priority work through normal trade channels, and if my hon. Friend will let me have details of any particular difficulties in Scotland I shall be glad to inquire into them.
