82. Mr. Driberg

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make representations to General Franco's Government on behalf of a number of Spanish citizens under 18 years of age, particulars of whom have been sent him, who have been condemned to death by a special military tribunal.

Mr. McNeil

His Majesty's Charge d'Affaires in Madrid has already been instructed to investigate this report and, if he is satisfied that the circumstances warrant it, to take whatever action may be possible on behalf of the persons concerned.
