§ 87. Mr. Dumpletonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Governments of Nigeria and the Gold Coast have yet appointed the Cocoa Marketing Boards in those countries; and whether it is now possible to assess the total funds which will be available to the new boards.
Mr. Creech JonesThe Governments of Nigeria and the Gold Coast have not yet appointed the Cocoa Marketing Boards in their respective territories. I cannot give the total funds available to date but those available to the end of the 1945–46 crop were:
- For Gold Coast, £5,664,840.
- For Nigeria,£2,873,023.
