§ Mr. BarnesIn the winter of 1938–39 the Great Western Railway had 14 slip-152W carriage services operating in the down direction and eight in the up direction. The London and North Eastern Railway had two slip-carriage services. So far the Great Western Railway have been able to restore three slip-carriage services in the down direction and three in the up direction.
