HC Deb 31 October 1946 vol 428 c144W
100. Mr. Parkin

asked the Minister of Health how many visits to his Department in London have been paid by officials of the Gloucestershire County Council in the last 12 months on the subject of a maternity hospital service in Stroud; what progress has been made in procuring the two huts for which sites and services are waiting; and whether he will take steps to supply this long-standing need.

Mr. Bevan

There have been several talks. I cannot say exactly how many. Huts, as a solution, now seem less likely, but the county and rural District councils are conferring and I am keeping in touch.
