61. Mr. De la Bèreasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, in connection with the development of the Central Office of Information, he will publish a complete list of the regional branches; and whether he will publish a list of the booklets issued or in course of preparation as at 30th September, 1946, stating the cost of the work which has already been carried out and commitments entered into.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallThere are regional branches in Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham, Cambridge, Reading, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and London. The list of booklets issued or in preparation is too long for circulation, but I could make it available to the hon. Member if he wishes. The extraction of accurate costs at this intermediate stage would entail considerable labour, and I hope the hon. Member will not press for it.
