HC Deb 31 October 1946 vol 428 c143W
90. Mr. Hastings

asked the Minister of Health whether persons who have earned and secured naturalisation by service as doctors in the Armed Forces of the Crown during the late war but have not obtained an English medical degree, will be permitted to continue in practice in this country after 1st January 1947.

Mr. Bevan

My hon. Friend has no doubt in mind the position which will arise in such cases when the Temporary Medical Register comes to an end on 31st December, 1947. I am at present considering this matter in consultation with my right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for the Home Department and the Secretary of State for Scotland.
