asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of the desire of the people of Trinidad to share in the benefits of the Colonial Development and Welfare Fund; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

I certainly intend that Trinidad should benefit under the Colonial Development and Welfare Act and an allocation from the total funds under this Act of £1,200,000 over the ten-year period has been made for that purpose.
