Mr. Asterley Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Air why personnel of the R.A.F. are being used at Santa Cruz, India Command, to provide flying control and signals facilities for civilian aircraft belonging to Tata airlines; and whether he will ensure that these men are replaced by civilians immediately.
§ Mr. de FreitasWe are handing over the airfield at Santa Cruz to the civil aviation authorities in India. Six members of the R.A.F. are still carrying out flying control signals duties at this airfield. Their civilian replacements are due to take over early in the New Year, as soon as they are trained for the work.
