§ 54. Mr. Jannerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the recent announcement, that for the 12 months from 1st November next British tourists will not be allowed to take more than £75 out of the country, applies to visits to all foreign countries; and whether, in view of the fact that such limitations make it difficult for British tourists to visit countries far from Great Britain such as the U.S.A. and U.S.S.R., he will take steps at an early stage to provide improved facilities for those wishing to visit such countries.
§ Mr. DaltonReturn passages to any overseas destination can be booked in this country in sterling, and their cost is not included in the allowance for travel abroad.
