HC Deb 29 October 1946 vol 428 c78W
Mr. Price-White

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the bad conditions existing in the sleeping quarters of J Company, A.T.S. camp at 324 London Road, Leicester, due to the rat-infested nature of the property; that volunteers have been bitten by rats whilst asleep in their quarters; and if he will cause action to be taken either to close these quarters or to secure the immediate extinction of the rats.

Mr. Bellenger

There are no A.T.S. sleeping quarters in the building mentioned but I assume the hon. Member is referring to those in Victoria Park where the presence of rats was recently reported. The rodent officer has already taken action and issued a clearance certificate.
