§ 94. Mr. Price-Whiteasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many members of the police force have now returned to the force following demobilisation from His Majesty's Forces; and, of that number, how many have resigned from the force since their return to duty.
§ Mr. OliverUp to 19th October, 2,858 men had returned to the Metropolitan Police Force from His Majesty's Forces, and of these 159 have since resigned. Up to 30th September, 7,694 men had returned to the county and borough police forces in England and Wales, but figures of resignations are not available for these forces.
