§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps are being taken to assist the Pan-African Congress on prehistory which is to be held in Nairobi in January next.
Mr. Creech JonesI understand that the Government of Kenya has assisted in the arrangements for the Congress, and has provided certain financial assistance towards its expenses. I am considering, with the Treasury, whether assistance can be given from United Kingdom funds towards the expenses of representatives from this country at the Congress.
