§ 129. Mr. Greyasked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he will make a statement on the earth movement in Kimblesworth, colliery village, Co. Durham, as a result of which nearly 100 persons are homeless; if he is satisfied that the cause of this subsidence is not due to mining operations; and what action be proposes to take.
§ Mr. ShinwellI have heard with regret of the severe and extensive damage at Kimblesworth. I am not, however, in a position to state the cause. If it should be established that it is due to mining operations the matter will lie for settlement between the council and the colliery company.
