§ 104. Sir T. Mooreasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether he is aware that some local authorities are using their powers under Section 3 of the Town and Country Planning (Interim Development) Act, 1943, to deprive property owners of cost-of-works compensation to which they are entitled under the War Damage Act; and if he will take steps to prevent such misuse of the Section in question.
§ Mr. F. MarshallAn owner of any property who is either refused permission to rebuild or granted permission for a limited period has the right to appeal to me against the planning authority's decision. The appeals so far received which relate to war-damaged property do not lead me to think that planning authorities are misusing their Interim Development powers in the way suggested.
