§ Mr. SilkinI have considered the report of the local inquiry and have come to the conclusion that the use of the proposed site for this purpose would be open to serious planning objections. In my view, it has not been established that no alternative site can be found where these objections would not arise. I have, therefore, recommended to the Electricity Commissioners that the proposed site should not be used for a generating station. The Commissioners have informed the South Wales Power Company accordingly and have suggested that the Company, in consultation with the Central Electricity Board, should endeavour to find a suitable site in some other locality.
