§ Sir W. Smithersasked the Undersecretary of State for Dominion Affairs why, in the interests of horse breeding and international goodwill, Great Britain was not represented at the Dublin Horse Show.
§ Captain StewartI have been asked to reply. An invitation was received by the United Kingdom Government to send a team to take part in the international military jumping competitions at the Dublin Horse Show, but, largely as a result of war conditions, the formation and training of a representative team was considered to be impracticable on the present occasion. The invitation had therefore, unfortunately, to be declined.
