§ Mr. BellengerWhite bread is still issued to the troops overseas, firstly because the darker flour will not keep satisfactorily in the hot and humid temperatures of most of the commands and, secondly, because the four main commands are supplied by direct shipment from North America and Australia, where the darker flour is not milled.
