§ 136. Mr. Turtonasked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the labour shortage in agriculture, he will now release agricultural workers who were called up between October, 1945, and December, 1945, who are urgently required for autumn work on the farms.
§ Mr. Ness EdwardsIn fairness to those members of the Forces who have to await their normal turn for release by age and length of service, it has always been a firm principle of the Class B scheme that men with less than a year's service should not be eligible. I feel that this rule must be maintained.
