§ Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Food the numbers of staff employed by his Department in controlling the distribution of the following categories of home produced food: meat, milk, eggs, grain and potatoes.
§ Mr. StracheyI regret that it is not practicable to state separately the numbers of staff engaged in controlling the distribution of home produced meat, milk, eggs, grain and potatoes, as the divisions of the Ministry concerned deal with the supply as well as the distribution of these commodities and, in some cases, with imported as well as home produced foods, and also with other associated com- 311W modifies. The total number employed on all duties in the five divisions concerned on 1st September, 1946, was 4,880.
