HC Deb 21 October 1946 vol 427 cc291-2W
104. Mr. Dumpleton

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether in increasing the paper allowances for periodicals by 40 per cent. in the 23rd licence period, he will ensure that sufficient raw materials, other than mechanical pulp, will be available to the mills so that periodicals needing paper other than mechanical pulp paper, such as pine and sulphite pulp, may receive the increased allowance.

Sir S. Cripps

It is not expected that shortage of raw material will prevent us from meeting the allocations of paper made for all purposes.
