§ Mr. Goronwy Robertsasked the Minister of Education if she is aware of the difficulty in which pupils, teachers and parents in Wales were placed by the long delay in publishing the results of the Central Welsh Board this year; what the reasons are for this delay; and what steps are being taken to prevent a similar delay in future years.
§ Miss WilkinsonI understand that the results of the Central Welsh Board School Certificate Examination were issued to school authorities about the time most of the schools re-opened after the summer holidays and that the Higher Certificate results were issued in August. Any delay as compared with previous years was comparatively short and was due to temporary staffing difficulties.
