§ 90. Mr. Spenceasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will take steps immediately to increase the supplies of umbrellas available to the public either by the diversion of exports, or by the granting of import licences.
§ Mr. BelcherSteps have already been taken to increase the supply of umbrellas by the allocation of additional cloth, and approval has also been given to import cloth if it is obtainable. I should not consider it justifiable at present to take special steps to impart umbrellas or to curtail exports.
