The invaluable activities of the Committees in advisory and technical development work since 1939 will, I hope, be continued and extended in association with the N.A.A.S. so that full advantage may be taken of the practical knowledge and experience possessed by Committees of local farming conditions and needs. I shall look to them to sponsor the work of the Service among farmers and to encourage them to make full use of the facilities provided for their benefit.
