Mr. Murrayasked the Minister of Fuel and Power the names of the collieries receiving cooked and packed meals from the Bevin Hostel, Crook, county Durham and the number of meals supplied to each colliery; and what is the proposed maximum number of meals to be supplied each day from this hostel.
§ Mr. ShinwellDuring the third week of its operation ended 12th October, 7,612 packed meals were delivered from this centre, to 25 collieries, of which I will send particulars. The centre is equipped to meet a largely increased demand from collieries within a radius of 20 miles.
