§ Sir D. Whiteasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the desire 142W of many building workers to be permitted to work overtime on house-building contracts at the present time in order to expedite the erection of houses; and whether arrangements can now be made to relax the present restrictions on overtime working in the house-building industry.
§ Mr. TomlinsonI have been asked to reply. Overtime working is subject to the Industry's National Working Rules which make provision for cases of urgency.
