HC Deb 10 October 1946 vol 427 c81W
Mr. T. Macpherson

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what application it is intended that the National Insurance Act should have to members of the police force, especially in relation to pensions.

Mr. Ede

The National Insurance Act, 1946, applies to members of police forces in the same way as to other members of the community. The question of what consequential amendments to the Police Pensions Act, 1921, should be proposed is under consideration.
